Music-on-Hold Play music or announcements while your clients are on hold, in queue or being transferred. It not only lets the caller know that the call is still in process, but the hold doesn't appear to be as long as when there is silence, and thus stay on the line longer. Callers hear a prerecorded message "Please Hold" and then your music selection when the Auto Attendant transfers the call. Create professionally recorded music-on-hold and advertising on hold with On-hold Network. Simply attach an audio device, such as a CD, tape, or audio output from a computer to the back of TalkSwitch, then enable the Music-on-Hold in the software. TalkSwitch uses a standard 1/8" inch mono phono jack - similar to most headphone jacks. While almost all callers with silence on the line will hang up in less than a minute, callers with music will stay on the line for a longer period of time. Without Music-on-Hold enabled, callers will hear TalkSwitch's default on hold beeping tone, and the extensions ringing. If you do not plug an audio device into TalkSwitch, and you have Music-on-Hold enabled, callers will hear silence with no beeping tone. Lastly, if you have Music-on-Hold disabled and you have plugged an audio device into TalkSwitch, callers will hear the music and a beeping tone. |
