Announcement Make a public announcement from any local extension. The output of the TalkSwitch can be plugged into a powered public address system. Then any local extension can make an announcement over that system. Press * 0 at any local extension then make an announcement through the attached P.A. system. The P.A. system could also be a small amplification system to screen voicemail. The PA jack is a 1/8" (3.5mm) phono connector. If you have more than one TalkSwitch connected to a LAN, you will need to provide a connection from each TalkSwitch to the PA system. Screening incoming voicemail can be done with an amplification system attached to the P.A. jack. The software can be configured so that anyone leaving voicemail messages is heard through the speakers in real time. If someone important is leaving a message you can intercept the call immediately. |
